LEARNING STEP BY STEP
Knowledge, skills and confidence
At Brother Martin Pre & Primary School, learning is a journey that develops knowledge, skills, character and confidence. From early years to primary classes, a child needs opportunities to ask, try, practise and understand step by step.
01Learning for understanding
The goal is not simply to memorise answers. Pupils are encouraged to explain their thinking, ask questions, connect lessons with everyday life and learn from feedback. Teachers select activities suited to age and lesson objectives.
02A connected progression
Baby Class, Middle Class and Pre-Standard One build readiness for school. Standard One through Standard Seven develop language, mathematics, science, social understanding, creativity and responsibility. The school confirms the actual class list and placement.
03Home–school partnership
Families can help by reading together, setting study time, asking what a child discovered and contacting the teacher early when support is needed. This partnership helps children see learning as part of everyday life.
